On Match Day in the WSJ
Q&A with the Graham Walker. Stay tuned to find out where I match! (I know you’re as excited as I am. And boy am I serious in that photo!)
Tomorrow seems like it really sets the dominoes in motion–that I’ve got several different paths my life could take, and it all depends on what’s printed on that letter tomorrow. If I’m at program X, I sell my car; if I’m at program Y, I need to go find an apartment, etc. Here goes nothing!
St. Luke’s!! Haha, I work there… well if you do end up here, please fill out the ER forms well for us in the research department b/c we can never read the hand-writing! Great aspects – as if you didn’t already know (from a pre-med volunteer) – so much diversity, free bus back and forth from both hospitals, cardiology research COLUMBIA, and the wonderful pre-med volunteers of course!
Graham, good luck on your match results tomorrow. It was courageous of you to publish your top choice program in that article. I have good faith that you will get your wish, however. Best wishes for a great day tomorrow!
Thanks to you both! If I don’t get SLR, my #2 is an equally outstanding, fantastic place. I’ll be absolutely thrilled with anything on my list, really!
Yay good luck! I got to go to Match day once at OHSU. My sister wanted to find out where all her classmates matched, as she wasn’t matching until the following year. Ever since then, I’ve loved Match Day!
Btw, those people commenting on that blog post are just a little bitter.
*crossing my fingers you get #1*
My fingers are crossed for you. You do look serious in that picture, but also a bit like Tobey Maguire (a good thing). Can’t wait to see where you matched to.
WSJ…wow Graham, you’ve become a big shot.
Don’t mind the idiotic comments on that page. EM is a great choice….any choice is a great choice as long as it is an informed decision.
