Matched in New York!
See you at St. Lukes’-Roosevelt!
My classmates and I had an incredibly successful Match Day, most people staying at Stanford, a record number heading to Boston, and others going to UCSF and New York! Time to celebrate!

This is a medical weblog--a collection of thoughts about medicine, medical training, and health policy--written by a fifth-year medical student.
I recently stopped blogging, as I graduated from medical school and I'm now a physician in my residency training in New York City. But feel free to read and enjoy!
(To get rid of this thing, just wave your mouse over it. Ta da!
Woot! Congrats!!
How could they not pick you, with such a fine application picture as that one? Congrats! Hope you’ll keep blogging as a resident =)
That’s a good hospital. And it has some pretty good doctors.
Now you just have to move to NYC. Good Luck!
Congratulations!
Congratulations, Graham! I look forward to meeting you in New York. :)
I read about you in the Journal and have been waiting to see your outcome. Congratulations and best of luck to you!
I am so happy for you!!! So are you selling the car or getting an apartment? :)
Congratulations!
First choice! Strong work and welcome to the East Coast.
K
Congrats!
Congratulations Graham! Let me extend a Chicagoan’s welcome to the East Coast! (It’s not so bad out here!)
Congratulations on your match! I don’t know if any of my old class mates are there but there’s a bunch doing ER in the NY Metro area. My department had a very good match – we got most of the kids we wanted!
Congrats!!!! You’ll get to start learning PRISM, Apollo, officially become a part of http://www.amion.com, and get to follow our nifty ‘evidence based’ flow sheets for any cardiac admits.(http://www.nycardiologypathways.org/PDF/43676%20ACAP%20Admission%20Note.pdf) Lastly, thanks so much for keeping this blog and showing me that as I start my journey towards a medical degree there really still are idealistic (and realistic) people out there. Now that you’re fully immersed, don’t forget about your original values. Continue to be an agent of change and an advocate for those who may not have found their voices or may not know what to say or do to help themselves.
Congrats! Your blog certainly has been an inspiration and motivation to me as I move towards med school.
Best of luck and I hope you keep writing!
Been reading your blog for years. All I gotta say is, congrats!
Congrats on getting your top choice.

Congrats! From Lawrence to the Farm and now to the Big City. Definitely not in Kansas anymore. Enjoy is probably not the right word, but enjoy it anyway.

A belated Congrats, Graham! Go kick medical butt! I heart NYC.
Hey Graham,
I was trying to reach the sheplog, but accidentally landed here instead. I didn’t know you were such an avid blogger. I guess I’m catching you on the tail end of it. Congrats on matching in NYC! Welcome to the East Coast Shep Crew!
