Airborne Settles Class-Action on Advertising Fraud
You know Airborne, that product “invented by a school teacher” that’s supposed to make you feel all better from a cold? It claimed it had a study done to show its clinical efficacy; turns out they finally admitted the “research company” was just two dudes, none doctors, created just to do the study. The company agreed to a class-action lawsuit settlement. Submit your claim if you have one.
(If it’s too good to be true, it probably is!)
Airborne makes (and will continue to make) a several times the amount for this settlement. They should be forced to change their marketing, packaging and should have been made to pay more.
Fact: you can sell dog feces as long as you package it attractively and stamp it with “scientific studies”.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I started my “anti-Airborne” campaign a year ago when I got into serious troubles for refusing to continue airborne on a patient’s med’s list. My attending got a call from the hospital’s lawyer before I presented the admission. One of the worst days as a junior medical student. I was made to apologize! I hate Airborne.
