Comments Back
I miss hearing people’s reactions to my posts! So from now on, comments are on by default (but will generally be off for some certain topics that turn low-quality and low-yield quickly–I think we can all name said topics ourselves).

This is a medical weblog--a collection of thoughts about medicine, medical training, and health policy--written by a fifth-year medical student.
I recently stopped blogging, as I graduated from medical school and I'm now a physician in my residency training in New York City. But feel free to read and enjoy!
(To get rid of this thing, just wave your mouse over it. Ta da!
YES!!! It’s been so long since I’ve commented, I can’t remember which name or alias I used when posting replies.
Being able to comment makes me pay more attention to your posts, too.
Thanks for turning them back on.
I’ve just recently discovered your blog. I think you are wise beyond your years. Are you really a 40 y/o doc posing as a med student?! ;)
I’ve really enjoyed and appreciated your postings, comments and views. I look forward to posting when I feel I have something worthwhile to add to the discussion. If ever I need one (again), I wish it’d be your ER that I’d land in. Keep up the great work.
yay! now i can once again make snarky residency in-jokes from a (former) program coordinator’s perspective with impunity!
i’d like to see you do a post about the “no free lunch” debate, which was the title of a res. ed. didactics session my former boss used to teach. [i.e., freebies by drug company reps]
Thank you for having/sharing this blog/site. I am a nurse of 24 years practice and really appreciate your single payer system info. I have been emailing the links like mad-dogs and sharing with LOTS of others who still decry any need for healthcare reform that the CEO of United Health Care made 122.7 mill in 2005. I will be ordering the pamphlets under resources and also spreading them. the word need spreading AND the fact that there is a major difference between the singel payer concept and “nationalized healthcare” is a HUGE piece of info that needs to get out there.
Again, thanks for the resouce. I like your mind!

Thank-you for allowing the comments. Just one request. My eye sight is not the greatest and I had trouble reading the small print. If were bigger I would be grateful.
I’ve just deleted a comment from Anon from Dublin–silly personal insults won’t be tolerated.
saraiderin,
I don’t know what operating system you have or what browser you use. However, you can change the font size in your browser by using Control + (that’s the plus key) to make text bigger.
Command + if you have a Mac.
This works in Firefox and Safari, and I’m pretty sure it works in Internet Explorer and Opera as well. If it doesn’t, I know a variation on that theme, will. Generally it’s under “View” and then “Text size” or something similar.
On topic,
Thanks for bringing comments back. I subscribed to your RSS feed after you turned off comments, and I’ve wanted to comment on several entries but have been unable to. It’s nice to have this back.
Take care…
Oh yes, silly personal insults, never mind the fact that I also complimented your blog, any criticism of any kind cannot be tolerated, we are far too important for that.
If you have constructive criticism, Anon, you’re welcome to provide it. Personal attacks of any nature will not be tolerated.
