I Heart European Cigarette Boxes
Just got back from a whirlwind tour of Budapest and Prague, and while the Europeans (and still most US cities) don’t have the whole “no smoking in bars or restaurants” thing down, they beat us on cigarette warnings. I love how blatant they are:

Here’s some warnings from other countries.
Nothing wrong with smoking the odd cigar old chap – highly recommend a good puff after a good time – cant kill you, my one man study suggests. The prof.

Ah, Budapest and Prague…two of my favoritest cities ever…I hope you had a marvelous time!
And yeah, love the cigarette labels. My favorite one was in France – “Fumer nuit gravement à la santé” – which means, approximately, “smoking is deadly,” but sounds so much funnier.
You’d lke it here in Oz then…we not only have similar text warnings, but graphic pictures of the sequaelae of smoking.
Some examples here
Yeah the cigarette packs here in Australia freak me out. And I’m not even a smoker.
Aww, that link doesn’t do justice to the warning labels on Canadian cigarette packs. The warning takes up half the pack and is a graphic color picture. It comes in such lovely varieties as diseased mouth and gums, brain, heart, etc. Also the generic kids and babies warnings. Really quite graphic stuff!
