Heroin Withdrawal Idioms
Twelve to twenty-four hours of heroin withdrawal can make a person restless and develop goose bumps. That’s where “quitting cold turkey” comes from.
Twenty-four to seventy-two hours of heroin withdrawal typically leads to flu-like symptoms, and thrashing and flailing of the arms and legs. That’s where we get “kicking the habit.”
Just thought i would introduce my self as honestly as possible.A mid 30′s man who after 12 long years of heroin addiction is back at uni to do his pHd in psychology and found my way here looking for goodies on the lovely subject of heroin withdrawal.I am fortunate to share both an academic and streetwise knowledge and it would (or might ) be of benefit if I was able to answear any q’s u might have regarding the subject and mabey vis-versa.I will leave it there just as a test run and if we meet in cy.space again that shall be a good thing.
So I suspect my boyfriend is using again – or at least just did use a few days ago. Just wondering if taking Dramamine and lots of imodium (although the imodium he always took lots of..) is a sign of withdrawl? He even admitted to puking the other morning – but he is telling me this is from the withdrawl of the Remeron (antidepressant/sleep aid) he decided to stop taking..
Who knows….
Hey, I’m a longtime heroin addict and Ivy League graduate. I’ll try to think of a few more.
4th night of going cold turkey,
worst is over, but i cant get no fuckin sleep whatsoever,
Anyone heard of having short siezures during withdrawal? I had them last time I kicked and I’m worried to go cold turkey this time without medical attention. Is this something I should worry about? Perhaps I am merely concentrating on the reasons not to quit. Either way- does anyone have any knowledge on the siezures during withdrawal?
Thank you for your time.
