Harry Potter Spells
Like my previous Rock Bands, I present, for your literary pleasure, medical terminology that could be confused with Harry Potter spells:
* Status Asthmaticus
* Medial Lemniscus
* Olecranon
* Staph Aureus
* Eosinophilia
* Rhabdomyolysis
* Ipratropium
* Amiodarone
As always, feel free to add your own. If some of them don’t sound like it, try saying it with a teen British accent. You’ll see what I mean.
Well a good observation. Yes they sound quite like Harry potter spells. A few which comes instantaneously in my mind are lymphogranuloma inguinale, dacryocystitis
pneumoconiosis.:)
Not too familiar with the Harry Potter stuff, but here goes:
Ampulla of Vater
Haberdeen’s Nodes
Elephantiasis
Toxoplasmosis
Red Thrombus (also a great band name)
Wow, you had me laughing so hard i almost fell off my chair, trying to pronounce some of these words with a british accent…
Since i’m studying for step 2 of the boards, i’m coming across some great harry potter words like:
Astrocytoma
Spherocytosis
Doxorubicin
Glioblastoma multiforme
Oligohydramnios
Wegener’s granulomatosus
Selegeline
Tinea versicolor
I could go on and on… I’ll stop here, but i’ll keep reading my step 2 study book in a british accent…
My favorite from embryology way back when: Extraembryonic Splanchnopleuric Mesoderm.
Also good:
Schistosomiasis
Histoplasmosis
Platybasia
Spina Bifida Occulta (ha ha .. get it?)
oops, and can’t forget Globus Hystericus.
Bom barda!!
