Joy! Rapture!
If this week isn’t out to get my entire class, it’s at *least* out to get *me*. I decided the most exciting part of my day was finding a new men’s bathroom on the second floor of the med school today. No, I take that back. I get free Indian food tomorrow. That would be the highlight.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that the head and neck are God’s way of discouraging people from messing around up there. The cranial nerve nucleli seem to be the absolute bane of my existence right now. Or maybe the brainstem. There are just so many possibilities!
SUMMA is this weekend. Should be a fun (but exhausting) experience. 550 undergrads, 80+ high schoolers, and a day-long set of premed workshops.
Good luck at SUMMA! Looks like it’s going to be a wonderful experience, I hope you write about it on your site :> Also, say hi to Leroy Sims! He was just at the AMSA office last weekend, coordinating the great lobby day for the womens empowerment leadership institute :>
Hey, I have been following your medblogs for a while. Being a first-year medical student in Holland, I read your commends with great pleasure. It is funny that we have the same course at the moment: the brain. Sometimes the brain drives me crazy (especially the motoric pathways) but I think it is really interesting.
Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon!
