Dreams
I posit that It’s completely normal, in the span of one night, to have a dream that a) your 19-year-old brother has spina bifida that you somehow just detected, and that you’re arguing with a classmate on whether it’s “iliosquamous” or “iliopsoas” (and you, of course, are right). And if it’s not normal, then, I was, uh, just wondering. Hypothetically. Yeah.
It’s probably just as normal as the ICU dreams. At least once during every ICU rotation, I dream that I am an ICU patient, with tubes coming out of every orifice, tied to the bed, unable to breath or talk on my own. Eyelids being held open by tootpicks isn’t usually in the dream, but a druglike trance with brief forays into conciousness is.
Hypothetically speaking, I suppose it’d be normal to have dreams like these. Right.
